Passport Sports and Discover Puerto Rico Launch the Puerto Rico Beisbol Experience for Youth Baseball Teams

New program brings teams, coaches, and families to the Island for games against local academies, community service, and cultural immersion — interest list now open.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — August 25, 2026 — Passport Sports, LLC, the company behind the Dominican Beisbol Experience, today announced a partnership with Discover Puerto Rico to launch the Puerto Rico Beisbol Experience, bringing fully managed youth baseball travel to Puerto Rico for players, coaches, and families. The interest list is open now.

The program applies the model Passport Sports built in the Dominican Republic to an island with baseball credentials of its own. More than 400 Puerto Ricans have reached Major League Baseball, six have been elected to the Hall of Fame, and the Island has fielded a World Baseball Classic team four times. Visiting teams will play where that tradition is still lived daily.

Every Puerto Rico Beisbol Experience trip is handled end to end and includes

  • Lodging and transportation managed from arrival to departure
  • Games against local academies, giving players real competition and exposure to Puerto Rico's baseball tradition
  • A community service project connecting teams with local neighborhoods
  • Cultural immersion in the Island's history, food, and people
  • Group excursions to experience Puerto Rico beyond the ballfield
  • Team bonding activities built to develop character on and off the field

The community service component is deliberate. In Puerto Rico, service and baseball are inseparable — a link Roberto Clemente made permanent, and one the Island's clubs and academies still carry. Passport Sports builds a service project into every trip so visiting players participate in that tradition rather than observe it.

For U.S. families, Puerto Rico also removes the friction that keeps some teams home. It is a U.S. territory: no passport is required for U.S. citizens, the currency is the U.S. dollar, and cell phones work as they do on the mainland. Teams get an international baseball and cultural experience without an international travel checklist.

"Baseball is part of who we are in Puerto Rico, and few things tell that story better than a visiting team playing against one of our local academies," said Carlos Deliz, Sports Tourism Director at Discover Puerto Rico. "This program brings young players and their families into real communities across the Island, and we are proud to help Passport Sports show them the Puerto Rico we know."
"Puerto Rico has an incredible baseball history, and this is about so much more than baseball," said Brennen Flores, Co-Founder of Passport Sports. "We want our players and families to fall in love with the Island the same way we have."

The partnership with Discover Puerto Rico connects Passport Sports with the Island's tourism resources and local communities, so each trip reflects an authentic Puerto Rican experience rather than a packaged one.

Puerto Rico Day at the Ballpark at Coors Field

Discover Puerto Rico invited the Passport Sports team to Puerto Rico Day at the Ballpark at Coors Field in Denver, bringing the organizations together around a shared appreciation for the Island's baseball culture and the experiences it can offer visiting teams and families.

Trip dates, pricing, and itineraries will be announced as they are finalized. Teams, coaches, and families can join the interest list now to be first in line at passport-sports.com/trips/puerto-rico-beisbol-experience.
